Moon LED Table Lamp - Cream

Description

Description
Moon is a table lamp in cream. A cream half-sphere dome on a slim cream stem, with a small opal glass cylinder standing under the dome so a band of soft light escapes sideways between the two. The dome is a clean hemisphere with a square-cut open rim, and the glass beneath it is short, straight-sided and glows evenly. The stem drops to a flat round cream base with a turned brass cone at the joint. The cream is a soft chalky matt and the brass and the glass are the only other

materials. The light reads as a ring under the dome rather than as a pool below it. It measures 27cm tall, in plastic and metal.

It is a lamp for a side table, a desk or a bedside, close enough to reach the switch from where you sit, and it lights the surface it stands on rather than the whole room. A pair either side of a bed or a sofa reads as deliberate where one alone reads as an afterthought, and two smaller lamps light a room more evenly than one large one.

The LED is built in at 2W, so there is no bulb to buy and none to fit. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms. It carries an E energy label.

Frequently Asked
Do I need to buy a bulb?
No. The LED is built into the fitting, so there is nothing to buy and nothing to fit.

What happens when the LED fails?
The fitting is replaced rather than relamped. At 2W and normal domestic use that is many years away.

Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is IP20, which covers dry interior rooms only. A bathroom needs IP44 or better.
