Hosmane Table Lamp - Black

Description

DescriptionThe Hosmane is a black steel table lamp with a clear industrial look: a slim upright stem rises from a round base, and a block of light natural wood sits across the top, wrapped in loops of black cable. From the end of that block hangs a geometric wire cage shade around a black lampholder, so whichever bulb you choose is framed by thin black lines rather than hidden. The lamp is 50cm tall, 22cm long and 15.5cm wide, with a base 15.5cm across, and it takes an E27 bulb, which is not included. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.
Because the cage leaves the bulb in view, the lamp pairs well with a decorative bulb, and it looks at home on a desk, a sideboard, a console table or a bedside table. The open wire and pale wood sit happily alongside darker wood furniture or plain white walls, bringing a relaxed, workshop feel to a study, a living room or a bedroom. At 22cm long and 15.5cm wide it fits neatly at the end of a desk or beside a reading chair, and at 50cm tall it keeps the light close to where you read and write.
Steel is a strong, rigid metal, and here it forms the slim stem and the round base, while the wood block carries the shade on its short drop of cable. A switch on the cord means you can turn the lamp off without reaching behind the furniture, and it runs at 220-240V, 50/60Hz. It weighs 1.55KG, light enough to move from desk to bedside whenever you need it there. The installation instructions come as a download, and as the bulb is not included, it is worth having an E27 bulb ready so the lamp is lit the day you unpack it.
