Dax LED Wall Light - Black

Description

Description
The Dax is a compact adjustable wall light with an integrated 8W LED housed in a cylindrical black metal head mounted on a circular black back plate. The head pivots on a ball joint fixed to the back plate, allowing the light beam to be directed at a reading position, artwork, or down a hallway. A built-in on/off switch sits on the back plate for local control without needing to reach for a wall switch.

Designed for focused task lighting rather than ambient room lighting, the Dax suits hallways needing directed light onto artwork or architectural

features, bedside positions for reading, and home office desks where a compact wall-mounted task light saves desk surface space. The 171mm height and 121mm width give a small footprint on the wall, making it suitable for narrower hallways and tighter spaces where a larger wall light would overwhelm the area.

The black finish is a low-sheen powder coat that minimises reflections and pairs with industrial, mid-century and contemporary interiors. The 3000K colour temperature from the integrated LED provides warm white light, and the 8W output delivers approximately 600-700 lumens depending on the specific LED module fitted. The circular back plate conceals mounting hardware and the LED driver sits behind the plate, giving a clean installed appearance.

Frequently Asked
Is the Dax dimmable?

The integrated LED is not stated as dimmable in the specification. The built-in on/off switch provides local control, but for dimming you would need to confirm compatibility with a wall-mounted dimmer separately.

Can the head be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The cylindrical head pivots on a ball joint attached to the back plate, allowing the light to be directed up, down or at an angle to illuminate artwork, reading positions or hallway features.

What is the light output?

The 8W integrated LED typically delivers approximately 600-700 lumens at 3000K colour temperature, which is warm white. This is sufficient for focused task lighting but not designed to be the sole light source in a large room.

What back box or mounting is required?

The Dax mounts directly to a standard UK wall using the circular back plate. The LED driver is integrated into the fitting, so it does not require a separate back box — just a suitable fixing point with mains supply.
