Room Wall Light - White & Brass

Description

Description
Room is a wall light in white and brass. A white cone shade with a rounded shoulder, held on a brass knuckle at the end of a straight white arm that comes off a round white wall plate, tipped down so the mouth faces the floor. The cone is lined in white and its rim is cut square, so the mouth reads as a clean bright disc when the lamp is on. A second brass collar sits where the arm leaves the plate, so the brass shows twice and nowhere else. A small switch stands out on the face of the plate. The white is matt and even throughout. It measures 14cm tall, in metal.

A wall light earns its place by leaving the surface below it clear. Beside a bed where there is no room for a table lamp, over a work bench, up a stairwell or either side of a mirror, it gives directed light without taking up any space. Fix it at about 1.5m from the floor beside a bed and a little higher flanking a mirror, so the light falls on the face rather than into the eyes of anyone standing in front of it.

The holder is GU10 and takes up to 35W. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms.
