Hosmane 3 Light Ceiling Light - Black & Wood

Description

DescriptionThe Hosmane is a 3 light ceiling light that pairs a black steel ceiling bar with a pale wooden beam, and three black lampholders hang beneath it on black cords looped round the timber. It is 55cm long, 10.5cm wide and 26.5cm high, and with three bulbs in a row it spreads light along a line rather than from a single point. Each lampholder takes an E27 bulb, and the bulbs are not included, so you choose the colour and warmth of light yourself. The IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in rooms that stay dry.
Hung over a kitchen island or a dining table, the three bulbs light the whole length of the surface, which a single pendant cannot manage. It sits as well in a hallway, on a landing or in a living room with an industrial or farmhouse feel, where black metal and pale wood look at home beside open shelving, black frames and reclaimed timber. At 26.5cm high it stays fairly close to the ceiling, a help in rooms where a long drop would hang too low. Because the lampholders are open, the bulbs are on show, so decorative filament bulbs make the most of it. If your home already mixes wood and black metal, this light ties the two together.
The body is steel and wood, in black and brown. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, so it answers to the light switch in the room. It weighs 1.51KG and runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Wood is a natural material, so the grain and tone vary from one beam to the next. Order three E27 bulbs at the same time and the light is ready on the day it is fitted.
