Parish Mini Down Wall Light - Black

Description

Description
The Parish Mini is a down-facing outdoor wall light with a black powder-coated die-cast aluminium frame and clear glass panels, housing a single E27 bulb (sold separately, up to 60W). The lantern-style design

features a hexagonal wall plate and a traditional six-panel glazed cage that directs light downwards onto doorsteps, pathways and porch areas.

Designed for UK residential exteriors, the Parish Mini suits front door positions, side gates, garage entrances and covered outdoor seating areas where downward-focused light is needed for visibility and safety after dark. The IP44 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making it suitable for locations with overhead cover but not full weather exposure. The 250mm projection from the wall allows the light to clear most door frames and cladding profiles without obstruction.

The die-cast aluminium construction is manufactured in the UK and finished with a black powder coat that resists UV degradation and corrosion in coastal and urban environments. The clear glass panels allow maximum light transmission while the metal framework casts decorative shadow patterns onto adjacent walls when lit. At 390mm height and 180mm width, the fitting provides visible presence without dominating narrow hallways or compact porches. Elstead Lighting backs the Parish Mini with a 10-year warranty covering material and finish defects.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Parish Mini take?

The fitting takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for porch and pathway lighting.

Is the Parish Mini suitable for fully exposed positions?

The IP44 rating provides protection against dust and water splashing, making it suitable for covered positions such as porches, canopies and recessed doorways. For fully exposed walls without overhead cover, consider an IP65-rated fitting for higher water ingress protection.

How is the fitting mounted?

The hexagonal wall plate fixes to a standard outdoor electrical back box using two screws. The 250mm projection allows the lantern to clear most door frames and exterior cladding profiles. Wiring exits through the rear of the wall plate.

What is the black finish applied to?

The entire die-cast aluminium frame, including the wall plate, arm bracket and lantern cage, is powder-coated in black. The finish is applied after casting and provides UV and corrosion resistance suitable for UK coastal and urban environments.
