Elsa Wire Locker 15mm - Chrome

Description

DescriptionA cable grip earns its keep by holding a suspension wire exactly where you set it, so a pendant sits at the height you chose and stays there. This one is a short chrome barrel, no wider than a fingertip, with a bright reflective finish that reads as a neat piece of hardware rather than an obvious lump on the wire. Being so small, it does not interrupt the vertical line of a drop, and the chrome sits comfortably against nickel, steel and other cool metal fittings.
We keep these to hand because so much pendant work needs them. A run of drops over a kitchen island has to be levelled by eye, and a grip lets you take up the slack until every shade lands where you want it. The same applies to a stairwell, where the fall is long and the wire needs shortening once you can see the effect from below. It is the part we reach for when a pendant hangs a little too low over a dining table and nobody wants to start again from scratch. Anyone building a multi-drop arrangement from a shared canopy will want several.
The body is compact and the chrome finish is even and bright, which does mean fingerprints show, so a dry soft cloth is all it wants; skip the metal polishes and cream cleaners, as they will dull the shine. Keep it to indoor rooms that stay dry. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same grip in black, gold and white, and the chrome canopy kits from the range pair with it neatly if you are hanging a group of pendants from a shared plate.

Frequently AskedHow big is it?
It measures 15mm across and 25mm tall, so it stays discreet on a suspension wire.
Does it take a bulb?
No. It is a non-electrical accessory, so any lamp is chosen for the pendant it serves rather than for the grip.
What finishes are available?
Four: chrome, plus black, gold and white.
How should I clean it?
A soft dry cloth keeps the chrome bright. Fingerprints lift easily, and abrasive creams or metal polishes are best avoided.
Is it suitable for a bathroom or outside?
No. It is rated IP20, which means dry indoor rooms only.
What warranty does it have?
It carries a one year warranty from the manufacturer.
