Vavanne Table Lamp - Black & White

Description

DescriptionThe Vavanne table lamp pairs a pleated white paper shade with a slim black steel tripod, a monochrome pairing that sits easily in most homes. It stands 44cm tall, the shade is 18cm across and the three legs spread to 22cm across, so it takes up very little room. The folded paper gathers into crisp points along its top and bottom edges, giving the shade a soft, lantern outline. It takes a standard E27 bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the colour of light that suits the room. With an IP20 rating it belongs indoors, in dry rooms.
We think it looks most at home in a living room, set on a sideboard or console table beside a plant, where it brings a gentle pool of light to the evening. It suits a bedroom just as well, and the open tripod keeps it looking light on a small bedside table. Paper diffuses light, so the shade gives a soft, even glow rather than a harsh beam. It will please anyone who likes a pared back look, and the black and white pairing works with oak, rattan, cane and painted furniture alike.
The body is black steel, and the three slender legs meet at a neat hub just beneath the shade, with the cable running down between them. A cord switch lets you turn the lamp on and off from the cable, with no need to reach under the shade. At 0.53KG it is easy to move between rooms. Paper does not take kindly to damp, so keep the shade dry and dust it with a soft, dry cloth or a gentle brush. The installation instructions are available to download, and once your own E27 bulb is in place it is ready whenever you want a softer light.
