Walbane Wall Light - Bronze

Description

DescriptionThe Walbane is a single-arm wall light with a cast metal body in a bronzed finish and a white satin glass bowl that sits upturned on a scrolled arm. It is 18cm in length and 16cm high, and it projects 24cm from the wall, so allow a little clearance in a narrow hallway or beside a door that swings open. It takes one E14 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of brightness and warmth entirely yours. The IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms only.
We think it suits a living room, a bedroom, a landing or a dining room where a traditional look feels at home. Because the bowl faces upwards, the light is thrown onto the wall and ceiling while the satin glass gives a soft glow, so a pair either side of a fireplace, a mirror or a bed makes a comfortable choice for the evening. The cord switch hangs below the fitting, which means it can be turned on and off by hand without crossing the room, a real convenience beside a bed or a favourite reading chair.
The backplate carries a beaded, moulded border with shaped corners, and the arm curls into scrolls with small leaf

details, all in the same bronzed cast metal. The white satin glass has a frosted surface that keeps the bulb out of direct sight. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, so as a wired-in fitting it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. It weighs 1.045KG packed. When you choose a bulb, pick an E14 lamp of 40W or less; a warm white bulb sits nicely behind the satin glass and suits the bronzed tone.
