Palmera Bathroom Wall Light - Chrome

Description

DescriptionThe Palmera is a bathroom wall light in chrome, with two white tubes of matt opal glass reaching out from a central chrome body on a round wall plate. It measures 46cm long and 12.5cm high and stands 11cm proud of the wall, so it suits the wall above a basin without crowding the room. It takes two E14 bulbs of up to 40W each, and the opal glass spreads their light into a soft, even glow. The IP44 rating means it is protected from splashing water, which is the question that matters most in a bathroom.
We would put it beside or above a bathroom mirror, in an en suite or in a cloakroom, anywhere splashes from a basin are part of daily life. For a bathroom, a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. Because IP44 covers splashing water, it can also live outdoors on a house wall, by a back door or a porch. The two opal tubes throw light both ways from the centre, so a face at the mirror is lit evenly rather than from one bright spot. It looks right running across the wall or hung upright, and either way the slim shape keeps a small room feeling uncluttered.
The body is steel with a chrome finish, and the round wall plate and the chrome caps at each end of the tubes match the centre. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, and as a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician. Bulbs are not included, so buy two E14 bulbs of no more than 40W each before fitting day. It weighs 1.037KG packed, and the installation instructions come as a download.

Frequently AskedCan the Palmera go in a bathroom?
Yes. It carries an IP44 rating, so it is protected from splashing water, and a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone in your bathroom.
Which bulbs does it take?
It takes two E14 bulbs of up to 40W each. Bulbs are not included, so it is worth buying them before fitting day.
How large is the Palmera?
It is 46cm long and 12.5cm high, and it stands 11cm out from the wall, so it fits neatly above a basin or a mirror.
Can it be mounted outdoors?
Yes. The IP44 rating means it can live outdoors on a house wall, such as beside a back door, as well as indoors.
Does it have its own switch?
No, there is no switch on the light itself. It is switched at the wall rather than on the fitting.
What material are the shades?
