Magneto 16W Dimmable Track Corner Light Diffuser 2700K - Black

Description

DescriptionThis is the corner piece of the Magneto track family, an L-shaped light with a diffused face that spreads warm light rather than pinning it into a single beam. The tone is 2700K, the soft yellow-white of a filament lamp at rest, and the LED draws 16W to give 1280lm. Dimming is by triac, so a compatible dimmer or the Magneto controller sets the level, and the driver sits inside the body. Finished black on every face, it reads as another length of the track until it is lit.
The shape earns its keep where a run of track turns a corner and a spotlight would leave the angle dark. Kitchens are the obvious home for it, above a worktop that changes direction, and it does the same work in a study, a hallway with a turn in it, or a small shop fitted out on track. We reach for this one where the light wants to be even and quiet rather than aimed, and it sits happily alongside directional heads further down the same run for the spots that need a proper beam.
The housing is slim and low, black throughout, with the LED and its driver held as a single assembly, so there is nothing to change out. Keep it to dry rooms indoors. Dust shows readily on a dark diffuser, so pass a dry microfibre cloth over the face when it starts to look dull, with the power off and the fitting cold. It carries a three year warranty. The rest of the range gives you shallow and deep surface tracks, a recessed track, L-joints, end caps and the dimming controller, all in the same black, so a complete run can be built up without a change of finish anywhere along it.

Frequently AskedHow big is it?
It measures 330mm along one leg and 308mm along the other, with a depth of 42.7mm, and it weighs 0.45kg.
Do I need a separate dimmer?
Yes. It dims on a triac dimmer, which is not supplied with the light. The Magneto controller in this range handles triac or push switch dimming and covers up to 720W across a system.
Can the LED be replaced?
No, the LED is integral and rated at an average life of 30,000 hours, so there is no lamp to swap. The driver is included within the fitting.
What sort of light does it give?
1280 lumens at 2700K, a warm white, spread through a diffuser over a wide 120 degree beam rather than focused into a pool.
Which tracks does it work with?
It is part of the Magneto system, and we stock the shallow surface track, the deep surface and pendant track and the recessed track in 1m lengths, all in black, along with the matching joints and end caps.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20 and belongs in dry interior rooms only.
