Milarne Table Lamp - Grey

Description

DescriptionThe Milarne is a compact table lamp with a bottle-shaped grey ceramic base, worked all over in a raised diamond pattern and topped with a white fabric drum shade. It stands 32cm tall, with an overall diameter of 15cm and a base diameter of 12cm, so it fits a narrow bedside table or a shelf where a larger lamp would crowd the space. It takes a single E14 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, which leaves you free to choose the brightness and warmth you prefer. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in rooms that stay dry.
We like it best beside a bed, where the white shade spreads the bulb's light into a soft, even glow for reading or winding down at the end of the day. It sits just as comfortably on a sideboard, a console table or a desk, and a matching pair either side of a bed or a mirror makes a neat, balanced arrangement. Grey is a quiet, neutral colour that works with warm wood, linen bedding and soft whites alike, so this lamp suits anyone who wants a room that feels finished without the lighting taking charge.
The body is ceramic and the shade is fabric, and the raised diamond pattern gives the grey base a texture you can feel as well as see. A cord switch sits along the cable, so you can turn the lamp on without reaching under the shade or around the back of the base. It runs on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz supply and weighs 0.862KG packed. When you buy a bulb, choose an E14 bulb rated at no more than 40W. The installation instructions come as a download, so everything you need for getting it going is close at hand.
