Prea LED Wall Reading Light With Switch - White

Description

Description
The Prea is a compact LED wall reading light with an 80mm round backplate supporting a tubular white arm that projects light downward through a narrow 30° beam angle. The integrated 3W LED produces 210 lumens at 3000K warm white, delivering focused task light suitable for reading positions beside beds or armchairs. A small switch built into the backplate allows the light to be turned on and off without reaching for a wall switch.

Designed for bedside reading, the Prea mounts directly above headboards or beside armchairs in living rooms, home offices and hotel rooms where directed reading light is needed without overhead fittings. The 110mm height and 85mm projection keep the fitting close to the wall, reducing the chance of knocks in tight spaces. The downward-focused beam concentrates light where it's needed without spilling ambient light across the ceiling, making the fitting suitable for shared bedrooms where one person reads while another sleeps.

The matt white powder-coated finish sits cleanly against white and off-white walls, and the compact cylindrical form pairs with both contemporary and mid-century interiors. At 0.39kg the fitting requires only a standard wall plug and screw fixing into plasterboard or masonry. The wide-voltage input of 100-240V makes the Prea suitable for international use, though the integrated LED is non-dimmable and operates at a fixed 210 lumens when switched on.

Frequently Asked
Is the Prea dimmable?

No. The integrated LED operates at a fixed 210 lumens and cannot be dimmed. The built-in switch provides on/off control only.

How bright is 210 lumens for reading?

210 lumens concentrated through a 30° beam angle provides adequate focused light for reading a book or tablet at close range (30-60cm). It is not intended as ambient room lighting.

Can it be used as a bedside reading light?

Yes. The Prea is designed specifically for bedside reading, mounted above or beside the headboard. The narrow beam concentrates light on the reading area without disturbing a sleeping partner.

What wall fixing is required?

A standard wall plug and screw fixing into plasterboard or masonry is sufficient. The fitting weighs 0.39kg and the backplate is 80mm in diameter, providing adequate surface area for a secure mount.
