On Track Feed - Black

Description

DescriptionThe On Track Feed is a slim inline track feed in black plastic, the part that brings mains power into a run of track lighting. A neat rectangular housing sits at its centre, with track connector contacts at each end, so the feed lies in line with the track itself. It measures 21.5cm long, 3.6cm wide and 3.3cm high, and weighs 0.22KG. There is no lamp socket and no light of its own: its whole job is the power. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors and dry, so it is not one for a bathroom, a porch or a garden.
We suggest it for indoor track runs in kitchens, living rooms, hallways, studios and shop displays, wherever spotlights hang from a track across a ceiling or a wall. Because it is an inline feed, the supply can join the track part way along its length rather than only at one end, which gives you more freedom over where the power point falls. The black finish keeps it quiet against a black track and a dark ceiling, so the line reads cleanly from end to end.
The housing is plastic, which keeps the feed light at 0.22KG and easy to handle while the track is being put into place. Its rectangular body has crisp, squared edges, with the connector contacts set at both ends. When you plan the layout of your spotlights, allow for the 21.5cm length of the feed in the run, so the spacing between the spots works the way you want it.
