Flimarne LED Wall Light - Black

Description

DescriptionThe Flimarne is an LED wall light built from flowing bands of black aluminium and steel that loop through one another and gather at a round black wall plate. A white plastic diffuser lines the inside of each band, so the light glows from within the loops while the outer faces stay a clean black. It measures 37cm across and 21.5cm high, and stands just 8cm out from the wall. Integrated LEDs draw 14.5W and give 1,400lm at 3000K, a warm light. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms only.
That is a generous amount of light for a single wall light, enough to light a hallway, landing or living room wall properly rather than simply decorate it. The slim 8cm projection keeps it clear of shoulders in a narrow corridor, and the warm 3000K tone sits comfortably in a living room or bedroom, where a cold white would feel harsh. We like it above a sideboard or either side of a bed, where the open loops give the wall a sculptural shape by day and a soft glow from the inner edges once the LEDs are lit. Because the LEDs are integrated, there is no bulb to buy or replace.
It is not dimmable and has no switch of its own, so it is switched at the wall and works with a standard light switch rather than a dimmer. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz, standard household mains, and carries an energy class of E. Packed, it weighs 0.867KG. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. One practical point: since it cannot be dimmed, choose it where you want full, steady light at the flick of a switch.
