Vogue Table Lamp - Black

Description

Description
Vogue is a table lamp in black. A black cylinder shade held on a brass gooseneck that rises from a low round black base, tipped over so the open mouth faces down and forward. The cylinder is a short straight-sided tube rather than a cone, with a pale lining that shows as a bright disc from below. The gooseneck is a bright brass coil that bends anywhere along its length and holds the shape it is given. A small switch is let into the top of the base. The black is matt on the shade and the base alike. It measures 10cm across and 31cm tall, in metal.

It is a lamp for a side table, a desk or a bedside, close enough to reach the switch from where you sit, and it lights the surface it stands on rather than the whole room. A pair either side of a bed or a sofa reads as deliberate where one alone reads as an afterthought, and two smaller lamps light a room more evenly than one large one.

The holder is E27 and takes up to 40W. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms.
