Bubbles Pendant Light 18cm - Rose

Description

Description
Bubbles is a pendant in rose. A dusty rose glass ball, clear rather than frosted, hung from a small black cap so the lamp inside shows straight through as a bright coil. The pink is soft and even, deepening where the glass thickens at the shoulder, and it tints whatever is behind it. The ball is drawn in at the top where it meets the cap and left open at the bottom. A plain black flex runs up from the cap. It is generous in size and hangs on its own rather than in a run. It measures 18cm across.

It suits a table, an island or a hallway, hung low enough to be looked at rather than into. Hang it so the bottom of the shade sits about 80cm above the surface, a little higher if people walk beneath it rather than sit under it. Hung at that height the shade is read as an object in the room rather than as a source, and the light lands on the table instead of in the eyes of the people round it.

The holder is E27 and takes up to 40W. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms.

Frequently Asked
Which bulb does it take?
An E27 lamp up to 40W. Bulbs are supplied separately so you can choose the brightness and colour you want.

Can it be dimmed?
Yes, on a compatible dimmer, provided the lamp you fit is a dimmable one. The fitting has no dimmer of its own.

How high should it hang above a dining table?
About 80cm from the table top to the bottom of the shade. Go higher over an island people walk past, and lower over a table nobody passes beneath.

Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is IP20, which covers dry interior rooms only. A bathroom needs IP44 or better.
