Description
DescriptionWe stock this 200W LED driver as the power supply for a track lighting run. It sits in a white powder-coated aluminium extrusion rated to IP54, and converts an AC 180-265V mains input to the low-voltage DC output the track needs. With 200W on tap it has the headroom to power a run of LED track heads from a single supply.
We reach for a driver like this on commercial track schemes in retail, gallery, museum and hospitality settings, mounted within the track rail or fixed alongside the run. The IP54 rating shrugs off dust and water splashes, so it also suits covered outdoor spots such as shop canopies and covered walkways where the odd bit of rain reaches it. Mounting brackets at each end let you fix it to a ceiling, a wall or inside the track housing.
It takes a wide AC 180-265V input at 50Hz, so it stays stable across UK mains fluctuations without extra regulation. The housing is aluminium in white and wants a little space around it to shed heat in use. It is not dimmable and gives fixed output only, so any dimming has to be handled downstream of the driver.
