Flenane Cage Ceiling Light 28cm - Sand

Description

DescriptionThe Flenane is a flush ceiling light with a rounded, domed cage of curved steel slats, finished in a soft sand colour. It measures 28cm across and 18cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling and keeps a room feeling open where a hanging pendant would drop too low. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of shape and warmth to you. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, so it is one for the living room, bedroom or hallway rather than the bathroom or the porch.
Because it sits flush, the Flenane suits rooms with lower ceilings and landings or hallways where headroom matters. The sand finish is a gentler choice than white or black, and it pairs easily with pale walls, light wood, linen and green plants. The open slats keep the shade looking airy rather than heavy, and when the bulb is lit, light falls through the gaps and spreads a pattern of fine lines across the ceiling, which gives a plain room real character. It is a good fit for anyone who wants a warm, natural look overhead without a large shade.
The body is steel, and the cage and the round ceiling plate share the same sand colour, so the whole light reads as one piece. There is no switch on the light itself; it is switched at the wall. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and, as a wired-in light, is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download, and the packed weight is 2.258KG. When you choose a bulb, keep it to 40W or less; a warm filament globe looks especially good behind the slats.
