DescriptionThe Flonvarne is a single ceiling spotlight in black steel, with a round mounting plate, a short adjustable arm and a geometric wire cage that frames the bulb rather than hiding it. It stands 11cm high, measures 11cm in diameter and projects 26.5cm, so it takes up very little room yet sends light exactly where you point it. It holds one E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of lamp entirely yours. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it goes: this is an indoor light for dry rooms only.
Because the head angles, the Flonvarne works well wherever a fixed light would fall in the wrong place: picking out a picture, lighting a shelf of books, or brightening a desk or a dressing table. The open cage suits industrial and modern interiors, and it looks its best with a decorative filament bulb whose glow shows through the wires. It suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and home offices, anywhere dry that needs a focused pool of light rather than a general wash. The body is steel and the cage is finished in the same black, so the whole spotlight reads as one dark, graphic shape against a pale ceiling.
