Flenane Small Ceiling Light - Black

Description

DescriptionThe Flenane is a flush ceiling light with a rounded dome shade in matt black steel, held close to the ceiling by a neat round canopy. It stands 17.5cm tall and measures 28cm in diameter, a compact size for rooms where a hanging pendant would crowd the space. It takes a single E27 bulb with a maximum of 40W, and the bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of warm or cool, clear or frosted entirely yours. With an IP20 rating it belongs indoors in dry rooms, away from bathrooms and anywhere water could reach it.
Hallways, landings, bedrooms, kitchens and home offices all suit it, especially where the ceiling is on the low side and a pendant would sit too close to heads. The black dome draws a crisp, graphic outline against a pale ceiling and sits comfortably alongside industrial, Scandinavian or simple modern schemes. Because the shade is open only underneath, it hides the bulb from most angles and sends the light down into the room, so you get useful light for moving through a corridor or getting dressed in a bedroom without a bare bulb in view.
The body is steel, finished in black, and steel is a strong metal that holds its shape well, so the dome keeps its clean curve. There is no switch on the fitting itself; it is controlled from your existing wall switch. It runs on 220-240V at 50/60Hz, and as a wired-in mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions are available as a download, and the light weighs 1.338KG packed. When you order, pick any E27 bulb rated at 40W or less to go with it, since none comes in the box.
