Nernena 7 Light Ceiling Light - Brass

Description

DescriptionThe Nernena is a seven-light ceiling light with a steel body in a brass finish. Stepped tiers of clear brilliant glass prisms are set between brass coloured plates and hung from a round canopy. It measures 53.5cm tall and 48.5cm across, so it fills the space above a dining table or the centre of a generous room without crowding it. It takes seven E14 bulbs of up to 40W each, and the bulbs are not included, so you choose the colour of light yourself. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.
We would hang this brass ceiling light where people gather: over a dining table, in a living room, in a wide hallway or in a main bedroom. Glass prisms bend and scatter light, so every lit bulb sends small flecks of brightness across the walls and ceiling while the room still gets a good general light. It suits anyone who wants one fitting to light a room and give it a focal point. Being IP20, it stays out of bathrooms, away from the kitchen sink and never outdoors. At 53.5cm tall it is happiest under a decent ceiling height. In a lower room, centre it over a table so it hangs clear of anyone's head.
The body is steel and the shade is clear brilliant glass. The packed weight is 12.243KG, a figure worth noting when choosing the spot where it hangs. There is no switch on the light itself, so it is switched at the wall, and it runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains. As a wired-in mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download. When you buy bulbs, pick seven E14 bulbs of 40W or less, and a warm white suits the brass finish well.
