DescriptionThe Talvera P is a compact recessed LED downlight, with a round chrome bezel framing a cast aluminium body. It measures 7.5cm across and 5.5cm tall and weighs 0.13KG, so it is light and easy to handle during fitting. At its centre a clear glass shade sits in front of an integrated LED giving neutral 4000K light that is crisper than a warm light and well suited to tasks such as reading or tidying. We have no IP rating for this downlight, so we recommend it for dry rooms indoors only.
Downlights like this suit hallways, landings, living rooms, bedrooms and home offices, anywhere you want clean light from a ceiling without a hanging shade. The LED insert tilts, so you can angle the beam towards a picture, a bookshelf or a favourite chair. Set in a row, several give an even wash of light along a corridor, while a single one brightens a dark corner. The polished chrome bezel catches the light and sits comfortably beside other bright metal finishes such as door handles and mirror frames. There is no switch on the fitting itself: it is switched at the wall. The downlight needs a ceiling hole 6.6 to 6.8cm across and 6.5cm of recess depth, and black-tipped spring clips hold it in place. As a wired-in light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. To keep the chrome bright, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth once the light has been switched off and has cooled.
