Hosmane 3 Light Ceiling Light - White

Description

DescriptionThe Hosmane is a three light ceiling light that pairs a white steel body with a wooden beam in a warm brown tone. White cords loop around the beam in loose coils before dropping to three white bulb holders, so the wiring becomes part of the look rather than something tucked out of sight. It is 55cm long, 10.5cm wide and 26.5cm high, and takes three E27 bulbs, which are not included, so you choose the colour and style of light yourself. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms.
Hung above a dining table or a kitchen island, the long beam spreads light across the length of the surface rather than gathering it in one spot, which makes it a practical choice for a rectangular table. It sits comfortably in farmhouse, pared-back and relaxed industrial rooms, and works well in a living room or a wide hallway too. Because the whole fitting is only 26.5cm high, it keeps a low profile, so it suits rooms where a long hanging pendant would feel crowded.
The ceiling bar and stems are steel finished in white to match the cords and bulb holders, while the wood shows its natural grain. There is no switch on the fitting itself: it is switched at the wall, so it runs from your existing light switch. It works with 220-240V mains and weighs 1.5KG. Being a hard-wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. When you buy bulbs, pick three with an E27 screw cap; clear filament bulbs look especially good with the open holders and the exposed cords.
