Golanne Ceiling Light - Black

Description

DescriptionThe Golanne is a flush ceiling light that pairs a tapered fabric shade with a ring of woven pale wood slats. A round black steel canopy holds it close to the ceiling. It measures 38cm across and stands 23.5cm tall, so it sits neatly within a room instead of dropping into the space the way a pendant would. The shade is a soft natural brown fabric with a linen-like weave, and the slatted wooden band shows beneath its lower edge, adding another texture. It takes a single E27 bulb up to 40W, which is not included. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.
Because it sits close to the ceiling, the Golanne suits rooms where headroom counts: a living room, a bedroom, a hallway or a landing. The mix of fabric and wood brings an earthy, relaxed feel that sits comfortably alongside houseplants, pale walls, natural textiles and wooden furniture, while the black canopy gives the design a crisp outline against a white ceiling. The fabric softens the bulb's light and the open slats let it pass between them, so the room gets a softer, layered glow instead of a bare bulb's glare.
The body is steel in a black finish, and the shade combines fabric with wood in natural and brown tones. There is no switch on the light itself, so it is turned on and off from your wall switch. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains power and weighs 1.652KG packed. As a wired-in mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Since the bulb is yours to choose, pick an E27 lamp of no more than 40W; a warm white bulb sits especially well with the earthy tones of the fabric and wood.
