Provorne Ceiling Spotlight - Black

Description

DescriptionThe Provorne is a single spotlight that pairs a black steel body with a drum shade in natural linen fabric, finished at its open end by a black mesh insert. A round black mounting plate and a short arm carry the head, which angles so the light falls exactly where it is wanted. It stands 11cm high, measures 9cm in diameter and has a projection of 18.5cm, a compact size that suits a small room. It takes one E14 bulb of up to 40W. Rated IP20, it belongs indoors in dry rooms, so keep it away from bathrooms and the garden.
On a ceiling, it suits a hallway, a landing or the reading corner of a living room, where one directional spot is more useful than a broad wash of light. The round plate sits just as neatly on a wall, so it works beside a bed, over a desk or above a sideboard. The natural linen brings a soft, textured look, while the black mesh adds a crisp industrial line, a mix that sits comfortably with pale walls, natural wood and green plants. Fit several along a corridor and each head can point its own way.
The body is black steel and the shade is linen fabric in a natural colour, with the mesh insert in black to match the arm. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 0.556KG. The bulb is not included, so choose an E14 bulb of no more than 40W when you order the light.

Frequently AskedCan the Provorne spotlight go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which means it is meant for dry indoor rooms only, so we suggest a hallway, bedroom or living room instead.
Which bulb does the Provorne take?
It takes one E14 bulb of up to 40W. The bulb is not included, so you will need to buy one separately.
How big is the Provorne spotlight?
It is 11cm high and 9cm in diameter, with a projection of 18.5cm, so it stays compact on a ceiling or a wall.
Does the Provorne have its own switch?
No, there is no switch on the light itself. It is switched at the wall, so you control it as you would any other ceiling light.
What is the shade material?
The shade is linen fabric in a natural colour, with a black mesh insert at the open end and a white lining inside the drum.
Can the head be angled?
Yes. The head sits on a short arm that pivots, so you can angle it to point the light where you need it most.
