Candy Table Lamp 20cm - Grey

Description

Description
Candy is a table lamp in grey. A large glass globe turned with a fine spiral flute, the ribs running round the body so the surface catches light in soft diagonal bands, sitting directly on the table with no stem or base beneath it. The glass is a warm grey-cream, translucent rather than opal, so it reads as a soft biscuit unlit and glows amber when the lamp is on. A small brass collar at the back carries a fabric flex out and away. The globe rests as a sphere on its own curve. It measures 20cm across and the same in height, in glass and metal.

It is a lamp for a side table, a desk or a bedside, close enough to reach the switch from where you sit, and it lights the surface it stands on rather than the whole room. A pair either side of a bed or a sofa reads as deliberate where one alone reads as an afterthought, and two smaller lamps light a room more evenly than one large one.

The holder is E14 and takes up to 25W. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms.

Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is IP20, which covers dry interior rooms only. A bathroom needs IP44 or better.
